Hello all you fine people!

I have much news to spraff about so I'll just get right to it!!  

I have been a busy little bee the past couple of months, they have fair flew by and now ITS SPRING!  Check it out, look out your window and smile cos the planet is heating up, the birds are getting it on left right and centre and the sun is occasionally shining! 

I recently embarked on another Scottish tour, this time sans the wonderful Erin Todd :(( (www.erintoddmusic.com - she is amazing!  Go and listen to her tunes!) however it's not all doom and gloom cos I was joined by the wonderful Anna MacDonald (www.annamacdonaldmusic.com) and the exceptional Mike Nisbet (www.mikenisbet.com)! I don't need to tell ye again, go click listen and enjoy!

DONT WORRY if you missed any of them cos all three gingers are frequntly gigging and mit's looking like all three shall be taking over the London scene this year!  Keep em peeled!  Music was made, whiskey was drank and friendships forged - The Timorous Beasties Tour 2012 was AMAZIN!!

So, apart from jumping about the motherland like a mad radge I'v been playing music with my new band! HER MAJESTY  CHECK US OOT!




We are currently writing and rehearsing and will be gigging very soon! 

Lots of gigs and new projects coming this summer, it's shaping up to be an ace year of music already!!  HAPPY MARCH EVERYBODY!! x

ANNA MACDONALD
Anna was raised in Glasgow but spent every summer on the Isle of Skye where her family’s roots run deep. Her Highland connections had a strong influence on her from an early age: Anna learned more from the family ceildihs she attended than she ever did in school. In 2003 Anna spent a year studying at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Scotland’s Gaelic College, which cemented her love for the language.

MIKE NISBET
Scottish singer songwriter, Debut Album 'Vagrant' out now!

'Vagrant' is the debut album from Oban-born musician Mike Nisbet. A Diving Bell Production, it was recorded in Glasgow in October 2010 by Marcus Mackay and will be released on (9/06/2011).

The album’s ten tracks were written in the winter of 2009. After spending more than a year living between London and Glasgow so the songs are primarily to do with being on the road and basically having no home to return to. The album’s completion was made possible by Creative Scotland, which provided the funding for the studio time. Nisbet’s long term ambition to create a solo record that, at its heart, is one man playing directly to the listener, has been beautifully realised.

LITTLE FIRE
To date Little Fire has supported The Secret Sisters, Damien Rice, Dougie MacLean and King Creosote. He has been invited to support Joan Armatrading in London on her 2012 UK tour.

A passionate singer along the lines of Ray LaMontagne and David Gray, Little Fire has a distinctive voice which resonates with an earthy and husky tone and timbre.

Little Fire has a gift for writing heartfelt songs and has vocal passion, power and a genuine warmth in his voice which seeps through his lyrics.

ROSIE BANS
Drawing inspiration from the vocal talents of Gloria Gaynor and Stevie Nicks, and from the songwriting skills of Imogen Heap and Tori Amos, Rosie's music is at once intelligent and accessible. Rich with instantly memorable choruses and rhythmic piano grooves which belie a subtle compositional complexity seldom found in pop music, it is easy to understand why her writing has such wide ranging appeal.

Yo home dawgs.  Hello.  How you all doing.  Great.

I have a SHIT LOAD of gigs coming up over the next wee while so thought I'd update you all with some of them...cool?  Cool.

So on SUNDAY (5th FEB) I have an ACE gig in Nambucca, Upper Holloway.  It is an amazing venue with some of THE nicest staff I have worked with in London.  Everyone was so supportive of my music when I played there last.  So I am BACK.

The cooooool thing about this gig is that I shall be playing 2 x 30min sets - all original material, yes that's an HOUR of ROSIE tunes - in the main bar.   In the gig room that same night is Peter Doherty.  So come and get warmed up by me before heading in and getting your fix of Doherty.  Should be an ace night!!!!

Been gigging away as usual like a maniac and last week that took me north back home to Scotland :-)))) 

I played three gigs: Roxy 171 in Glasgow, SuCasa, Ayr and The Classic Grand, Glasgow.  I had an ace time being home and seeing all the 'troops' again.  Feels like a lifetime ago since I was up for New Year.  Anyways, the beautiful mind of James Foley (of the band Folé - go check them lads out!!) wrote me a nice wee review!!

 Hello!!   Happy New Year to everyone (okay I know its a bit late).  I had the bestest time getting drunk and eating steak with my family.  ACE BALLS!

It's straight back to work now though and I started off the year by playing at The Old Queens Head in Islington.  On the bill were some really cool musos and I really enjoyed the venue and it's distressed surroundings, although I was craving Pledge by the end of the night.  OCD.

Myself and Erin had a total blast on tour, thanks so much to all the people who supported us along the way, and to all the promoters and hosts that had us at their venues.  We really appreciate it all.  Most of all thank to those of you that have now became fans, are interacting with us and following us through the journey...  you are all LEGENDS!

I still have a few shows before 2011 draws to a close then its studio time to record my debut album...EXCITING!  Stay tuned for updates.
